Genital Dermatology is an area of dermatology dedicated to the study, diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting the skin of the genital region. It encompasses a diverse array of conditions including disorders that occur mainly in the genital area as well as common skin disorders such as eczema, psoriasis, lichen planus and vitiligo which can often involve other areas of the body and take on an atypical appearance when in the genital area. Our dermatology department offers a broad array of diagnostic and therapeutic services allowing us to diagnose and treat these disorders with a variety of methods such as topical therapies, cryotherapy, intralesional and surgical modalities. Our physicians are also adept at identifying malignant lesions of the genitals such as squamous cell carcinoma and malignant melanoma and providing theraputic options.
